The Communist Manifesto, the work of Marx and Engels that shook the world to its core, is on the stage for the first time in history. This book, which has been translated into almost every language in the world, banned hundreds of times for publication and distribution, and confiscated dozens of times, is still very relevant in our opinion. Although there have been great social changes in the course of history since the century it was written, the fight between the “oppressors” and the “oppressed,” which is the main discussion of the text, still continues.

Today there are hundreds of millions of people around the world who suffer from hunger, whose even basic human needs are not met, who do not have any access to school, while at the same time, there is a tiny minority of people who possess immense levels of wealth. Our planet is facing destruction due to the profit greed of companies. The gains women have earned in their struggle for equality are at the risk of being taken away. Child labour is on the rise on a daily basis. Workers are losing their rights to retire. Many other countless issues like those… Humanity and life on earth do not deserve this exploitation.

By using the possibilities of theatre, with this “warning” work of the two great thinkers who saw that capitalism was pushing the world towards a disaster in the middle of the 18th century, we wanted to bring together the people of the 21st century, who are living on the brink of environmental disasters.

While on the brink of disaster, the following quote by Marx is still very precious, “Philosophers have hitherto only interpreted the world in various ways; the point is to change it.”
